ABOUT US
Hi, we’re Afro Leads, two sisters, Steph and Julie, who are on a MISSION to promote Black British business and culture! We were brought up in a seaside town on the outskirts of Hull by Ghanaian parents Stella and Eric. It all began when we set up an Instagram page in July 2018, and ever since we have posted daily positive content about Black British business and culture. These important stories and narratives are now also being shared on Facebook and Twitter in order to reach a wider audience.

MEET STEPH
Steph studied International Business Management and Spanish at Northumbria University. Since graduating in 2007, she has worked within International Project Management, Recruitment, Equality and Diversity, Education sector Marketing and Careers Development. Her passions lie within networking, brand development and partnering with like-minded people, all of which have transitioned perfectly to support the demands for success of Afro Leads.
MEET JULIE
Julie studied Medicine at the University of Newcastle Upon Tyne. Since graduating in 2006, she has worked in a number of cities around the UK and also in Australia and Guatemala. Julie is a Portfolio GP working in an inner city practice in Leeds serving a vulnerable practice population. Julie relishes the creative opportunities afforded by creating content for Afro Leads and she loves sharing this with people who are keen to look outside of the box and embrace something fresh, new and engaging!
